Our Team

Symphony42 is built by people who have run Customer Acquisition at scale before — the inventor of Pay-per-Call transfer leads, the co-founder of EverQuote, and a board of founders and investors who built the Customer Acquisition industry.

Sean Fenlon

Sean Fenlon

Founder & CEO

Sean Fenlon has spent more than twenty-five years in Customer Acquisition. In 2004 he co-founded DoublePositive, where he invented Pay-per-Call transfer leads — outcome-based pricing for live-transferred consumer calls. DoublePositive raised three rounds of venture capital, steered through the 2007 mortgage collapse by rotating into insurance and education, paid a $7 million dividend to shareholders years before its exit, and was acquired in 2015; it later became part of Zeta Global. Sean predicted AI Customer Acquisition on stage at LeadsCon in 2014 and founded Symphony42 in 2021 to build it.

Sean’s earlier ventures include TheLoanPage.com, an Internet mortgage lead company acquired by Battery Ventures in 2003; ListenSmart.com (1999); and ABOVO.co (2015), for which he is sole inventor on U.S. Patent 10,404,634. He is the named inventor on Symphony42’s 2026 patent application for full-funnel AI voice selling. Sean has been a YPO member since 2009 and was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.

He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, where he also earned his master’s degree; the company’s name and vocabulary — orchestration, harness, rehearsal, score — come from that training. He has shipped with AI since December 2022 and publishes everything he has built with it. Sean carries all of Symphony42’s business-to-business selling himself, and believes “it’s all about the people.”

Dave Blundin

Dave Blundin

Co-founder & Board Member

Dave Blundin co-founded Symphony42 with his long-time friend and business colleague Sean Fenlon. An MIT AI Lab alumnus, Dave has co-founded 23 companies, five or more of which reached $100MM+ valuations — including DataSage, acquired by Vignette for more than $1 billion, and EverQuote (NASDAQ: EVER), the largest online auto-insurance marketplace, which he co-founded and chairs and which went public in 2018.

At the MIT AI Lab, Dave pioneered neural-network quantization in 1992 — the reason he is called the “Godfather of Neural Net Quantization.” He is Founder and General Partner of Link Ventures, Chairman of Vestmark and of the tech incubator Cogo Labs, co-founder and General Partner at Vestigo Ventures, co-host of the Moonshots podcast, and an MIT instructor. He has served on more than twenty private and public boards.

Dave and Sean have been kindred spirits since 2009, when Dave served on DoublePositive’s board and backed the company through difficult years; fifteen years of partnership in Customer Acquisition and AI sit behind Symphony42. His contribution is specific: Customer Acquisition and AI judgment at every board meeting, the Link Ventures and MIT ecosystem for AI talent and research, introductions across the investor and industry network, and strategic direction on the transition from qualified transfers to full selling.
